Innovative Juggler - YouTube - Conic - Juggling in a Cone (Preview)

Well, they say innovation is everywhere, and I would agree. Big I Innovation, small i innovation - you and I are doing this every day, we just need to do more of it, better and faster every day.

Still, I see my mission in being a cross-connector, or bridge builder betwixt and between subjects areas, business and technology, and across the layers of organizations. And life isn't purely about cut and dried business problems either - so with that, if you have not yet seen this clip from Greg Kennedy the "Innovative Juggler" (www.innovativejuggler.com) - take a peek below.

Now I'm an amateur juggler, and have a fair number of tricks up my sleeves, but Greg's innovation/invention/creation juggling within a 8 foot inverted cone, takes the cake. Mindboggling in so many ways, it's hard to know how to even count them up!

If you thought that Michael Moschen (the hands behind the crystal contact juggling in the movie "Labyrinth" is likely where he's best known) did the impossible with his juggling (and he does), take a peek at Greg's clip below - he continues to expand the art of juggling in a parallel vein to what Mr. Moschen has. If innovation can continue in an art form that is likely thousands of years old, what's your excuse for not innovating more in your work and life?

Re: Micro Persuasion: Turn Gmail Into Your Personal Nerve Center

From reader/listener and fellow blogger Ian McKenzie over at Ian's Messy Desk, I found his entry "Using Gmail as Your On-line Brain" - which references the well-written and well-trafficked blog "Micro Persuasion" by Steve Rubel, and specifically, the entry "Turn Gmail Into Your Personal Nerve Center."

Wow - Google isn't doing much to integrate their own services (yet... one would presume), but take a look at the long list of web services Steve (and others) are lashing together to use Gmail or the Google Apps (private-label) "platform" to create information dashboards.

I'm a heavy user of Gmail - or so I thought until I looked at this article. Take a look - and although I've heard that Gmail is no longer invite only, if you need an invite, I have over 50 left.

Ah, always troubling to (partly) miss the boat on "live" events (or TV shows) - just ran across a relatively new blog called Endless Innovation, which points out a 5-part TV series on the "Business of Innovation" - will be TiVoing what I haven't missed already, and sounds like it's worth a view. Looks as though they are also streaming it online - if you've missed it by the time you're reading this. What I've seen thus far is relatively standard innovation thinking - plan to fail, learn from failure, keep at it, and before you know it, you've outrun the competition on sheer tenacity.
